Communicate With Your Ethics
Officials
If you have any questions concerning the OGE 450 or any other ethics issues, It's usually a good idea to consult with your ethics officials.
However, it is important to remember that there is no "attorney-client privilege" between you and your ethics officials. This means that anything that communicate to an ethics official is not protected under law from disclosure.
For example, an ethics official who becomes aware of a situation involving a violation of law might find it prudent to communicate this information to your Agency's Ethics Official for further action.
