SUBJECT:    Availability of the Informal Advisory Letters and
            Memoranda and Formal Opinions of the United States Office
            of Government Ethics for the first installment of 2006

The Office of Government Ethics (OGE) has placed the Informal
Advisory Letters and Memoranda and Formal Opinions of the
United States Office of Government Ethics for the first eight
months of 2006 on the OGE web site at www.usoge.gov.  These
new materials, which include letters and memoranda (guidance)
issued by OGE from January through August 2006, represent the
first installment of the 2006 guidance.  This guidance is
available for viewing or downloading and can be found under
the advisory opinion section.
