          and Inspectors General

SUBJECT:  Training for Inspectors General


     This memorandum concerns the training program for Inspectors
General that was the subject of a DAEOgram dated April 28, 1997
(DO-97-022).  As indicated in that DAEOgram, this program, which
will be held on May 20 and May 29, is only for Inspectors General
who are members of the President's Council on Integrity and
Efficiency and Inspectors General who are members of the Executive
Council on Integrity and Efficiency.  The program is not open to
anyone other than the Inspectors General.  The purpose of our
earlier memorandum was simply to advise agency ethics officials
that this Office would view the participation of Inspectors General
in this program as fulfilling their one-hour annual training
requirement for this calendar year.
