February 7, 1997 DO-97-010 MEMORANDUM TO: Designated Agency Ethics Officials FROM: Stephen D. Potts Director SUBJECT: Agency Ethics Training Survey In order to better serve the executive branch ethics community, the Office of Government Ethics (OGE) is conducting a survey to learn more about your experiences, opinions, and needs regarding various facets of your agency ethics training program. The attached survey is designed to be completed by the person on your staff who is most knowledgeable about the details of your agency ethics training program. In addition to distributing one survey to every executive branch agency, the survey is also being directly distributed to a limited number of bureaus and components of departments that have decentralized ethics training programs. Although distribution is directly to agencies and components, the survey is anonymous. There is nothing on the form to identify your agency and respondents are not asked to identify the agency for which they are answering. The survey will take about 20 minutes to complete. Respondents should submit their completed survey directly to OGE in the attached addressed envelope by February 28, 1997. Please note that this survey is intended for completion by Federal employees only. Thank you for facilitating this effort to continuously evaluate and improve agency ethics training. Our response rate goal is 100 percent. Please help us reach it. If you have any questions concerning this survey, please contact Phyllis Hoffer at 202-208-8000, extension 1184. The results of the survey will be presented in a future DAEOgram. Attachments (Copies of the survey may be obtained by contacting Phyllis Hoffer at the number listed above.)
